Our work

For us as a company, it is very important to let our customers know how we work and realize all our projects, they know a little more about all the materials that we use guaranteeing the durability of their roofs.

01 Asphalt shingles

Roofing tiles continue to dominate the roofing market in North America for several reasons: they are affordable (and offer great lifetime value), easy to install, maintain and repair, and come in a variety of styles and colors.

Protection against ice build-up in eaves

If you live in an area where the weather includes very cold winters, you would wear boots to protect your feet from ice, melted snow and swamps, right? Well, your roof and the house below it need the kind of protection that can be provided by an ice and water protector (available only in English) This thin, self-adhesive membrane is the next component and is installed on the drip-proof molding. The best way to prevent ice build-up is by having a proper vapor barrier for the attic, adequate insulation of the attic and rigorous ventilation; However, an ice protection membrane is a component of the roof system wise and possibly required by their local building codes in cold climates.

Coating for general secondary roof protection

Now it is the turn of the roof coating, which can be a saturated asphalt felt or a synthetic roof coating. Both offer you peace of mind when protecting under the tiles. While asphalt tiles will be the primary layer of water protection, installing a roof covering has many benefits. The felt is placed in horizontal rows, overlapping the ice and water eave protection by 4 inches and the membrane vertex gasket by 6 inches. Note: If your home is in a region where water and ice protectors are not required, begin installation of the overhang, making it protrude from the 1⁄4 inch to 3⁄4 inch leaking edge.

Cover the joints and vertices

If a roof is going to leak, it will probably occur where the tile layer is perforated, interrupted or meets a wall. These are the special areas that require tapajuntas, an added layer of water, repellent material to help water flow down. Vertices can be open or closed-open vertices are not covered with tiles, whereas closed ones are. If your roof will have open vertices it is now when the vertices should be aligned with a pre-formed, corrosion-resistant metal. The closed vertices are completed during installation of tiles.

Tiles in the "field" of the roof.

Once everything under the tiles has been properly prepared and installed, it is time to learn how to place the tiles on a roof. Regardless of the type or style of asphalt tile you have chosen, basically, the process is the same as mentioned above: it starts at the bottom and overlays them as it goes up the roof. First, and before laying the field tiles ("field" refers to the large roof space within the boundaries of eaves, eaves and vertical edges), it is important to install a preparatory row of initial tiles that are specially made for this purpose. But even if you do it on the spot, cutting standard tiles to size, both have a fundamental function in the eaves of the roof.
